Training
Lenehan Scaffolding selects personnel on the basis of current relevant qualifications, skills, training and experience. The Director and Contract Manager prepare a job description for each post detailing key tasks, responsibilities and minimum training requirements. On an ongoing basis employee appraisals are carried out periodically.
Training needs are identified and may be fulfilled through internal or external training, as appropriate. A training record is maintained for each member of staff and copies of relevant certificates are retained on file.
Lenehan Scaffolding has a regular toolbox talk program for safety and process training. Periodically, employees are given written examinations to check their knowledge and understanding. The results are assessed and used to identify further training requirements and promotion potential furthermore, every job has its own unique risk assessment and method statement. These two items are related and form the basis of the tool box talk.
Servicing
Where there is a requirement for ongoing inspection of a scaffold in situ, this is covered in the internal procedure for inspection and testing. Other than this, no servicing requirements apply.

This introduction has been prepared to demonstrate Lenehan Scaffolding (Preston) Ltd objectives and commitments to quality. It provides an outline of the Quality Management requirement and how it relates to Lenehan Scaffolding activities.
